Garment Care

Our jackets are made from vintage kimono (or other vintage textiles where indicated).  Due to the age of the fabric some minor imperfections may exist.   

Dry-clean only.  Do not store in direct sunlight. 

Terms and conditions

These terms apply to online orders made through www.mykindofscene.co.nz and are effective from 01 December 2024.

We reserve the right to amend these terms.   Any such amendments will be notified to you by posting such amendments on this website (under ‘Terms and Conditions’).

Placing an order

All prices are in New Zealand dollars.  We reserve the right to change prices.  All prices are correct when published. 

 

It is your responsibility to ensure that your contact details and delivery address are correct when you place an order.

This store uses the PayPal gateway to process payments. PayPal uses end-to-end encryption to secure transactions.  If you do not have a PayPal account you can still complete your payment transaction. PayPal will thereafter give you the option to sign up for a PayPal account if you choose to.

New Zealand - Free shipping for all orders shipped within New Zealand via NZ Post tracked (usually overnight). 

 

Australia - NZD $25 for all of Australia (economy tracked 3 - 10 days)

We will happily exchange or refund any full priced or faulty items purchased through www.mykindofscene.co.nz.

Please return goods within 14 days of the purchase date.  Returned items must be unworn, unwashed and be in original packaging.  You must include proof of purchase. 

We do not refund or exchange on sale goods.

Return shipping is at your expense and the goods remain your responsibility until received by us. We recommend you use a tracked service.

If you would like a refund please contact us for a return shipping address. The refund (per the refund policy) will be provided once the goods are received by us. 

 

If you would like to exchange your garment, there are 2 options:

  1. You can make a new order from the website.  When your original item is received by us, we will credit your card for the original purchase amount (excluding shipping).

  2. You can contact us directly at debbie@mykindofscene.co.nz and we can set aside the replacement item until we receive your original garment.  Once your original garment is received, we will ship the replacement item free of charge.  

 

Exchange is dependent on availability of stock.

At My Kind of Scene we respect the privacy of our customers.

We use personal information that we collect about you to provide products and services to you, to fulfil orders and process payments relating to purchases made through the Site. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

We may collect personal information about you, such as your name, email address, postal address, phone number, credit card number etc.  This information is collected when you visit our website, place an online order, save your information with us online, contact us with a question or concern or sign up for promotional material.  

If you have elected to receive ongoing communications and at a later date wish to opt out of these communications, you can do so by contacting us by email or by following the unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of the emails sent to you.

We may, under certain circumstances share your information among third parties that provide services on our behalf.
